Speakers and Workshops

At this year’s conference (19-20 November) we’ve put together a live ‘toolkit’ with an exciting line up of speakers sharing practical top tips and best practice, inspiring case studies, and their experiences around our SKILLS theme. There will be a range of interactive workshops and some Scottish conference ‘treats’ and opportunities to be inspired at The Engine Shed.

Access & Getting There

Conference will be held in the exciting Engine Shed in Stirling, Scotland’s first building conservation hub run by Historic Environment Scotland. It is located in Stirling with both train and bus stations, and car parking less than 350 metres away, and close to a range of hotels. We have provided some information about getting to the venue, parking and access information for the Engine Shed.

Optional study visit

For those who want to take advantage of being in Scotland for the weekend, we’ve lined up a study visit on Sunday afternoon to Bannockburn House, a 17th Century A-listed mansion house, which has survived largely unchanged. This fascinating rescue project includes the recent community asset transfer of  the house.

Conference dinner

We are delighted to announce that thanks to generous sponsorship from Historic Environment Scotland, we will be having our conference dinner in the show-stopping Great Hall of Stirling Castle!
Following dinner we will dance the night away in traditional Scottish style with live music from the Riverside Ceilidh Band. This is an evening not to be missed!
